1 Peter 3:9-11

⁹^(A)not returning evil for evil or ^(B)reviling for reviling, but ^[a]giving a ^(C)blessing instead, for ^(D)you were called for the very purpose that you might ^(E)inherit a blessing. ¹⁰For,

“^(F)The one who desires life, to love and see good days,
Must keep his tongue from evil and his lips from speaking deceit.
¹¹^(G)He must turn away from evil and do good;
He must seek peace and pursue it.
